PASER-M enrolment completed
We are very proud to announce that the enrolment of PASER-M is complete. On September 28, 2009, the last patient was recruited at Newlands Clinic in Zimbabwe (ZI/CON), which results in a total of 3013 patients enrolled. We congratulate you all with this wonderful achievement. The enrolment rate was much higher than we had expected. On average it took 11 months per clinic to recruit 240 patients, while the recruitment period was 18 months. The next challenge is to have all these patients
return for their annual follow-up visits. Currently 1863 (62%) patients have returned for the 1st annual follow-up visit, and 150 (5%) patients returned for the 2nd annual follow-up visit. We expect that these figures will increase substantially during the next couple of months, as quite a few clinics started in the 2nd half of 2007.
